(1) Radiological Survey Meter / GAMMA RADIATION DETECTOR
Model: CDV-715

Mfg. Victoreen Instrument Co.
Instruction Booklet
· Detects dosage rates from .01 to 500. roentgens/hr wit +- 15% accuracy
· Detects Gamma radiation
· Zero Adjust Knob
· Analog screen range 0-5 roentgens/hr
(r/hr is multiplied by the appropriate range scale as selected with range switch)
· Selector Switch Settings: Circuit check, Off, Zero (calibrate), R x 100, R x 10,
R x 1, R x 0.1
· Unaffected by EMP (electro magnetic pulse), a phenomenon created by an atomic
detonation
which renders most electrical systems inoperative.
· Ruggedized, Sealed meter is watertight, and resists shock and vibration damage.
· Civil Defense Department instrument issued for civilian use during nuclear attack or
reactor meltdown.
· Operates on two D-Cell batteries (not included)
· Operates for over 150 hours continuous, much longer if used intermittently

(1) Radiological Dosimeter Charger
Model: CDV-750
Mfg. Jorden Electronics
Instruction Booklet
The CDV-750 Dosimeter Charger is a self contained battery-operated instrument.
It will charge to zero any self-reading dosimeter which has a standard military or    O.C.D.M. charging end. Specifically designed for use with MILITARY O.C.D.M. and CITIZENS Dosimeters. Contained in a two-part metal case which measures 4" x 4" x 2". The charging contact has a screw-on cover which is permanently attached to the case. The
circuit is powered by a 1.5 v battery.

(2) Dosimeter Tubes
Model: CDV-742
The CDV-742 is a direct-reading pocket dosimeter. It is designed to measure the total dose of moderate and high levels of gamma radiation. Used with the CDV-750 Charger to set the dosimeter to zero.

(1) Vinyl Carrying Strap

(1) Two Page Instruction Manual
Describes how to use the instruments

(1) 66 Page FEMA Radiation Safety Booklet
Complete step by step guide to understanding
and dealing with radioactive fallout.

2) CDV-742 Radiation Detectors & 1) CDV-750 Charger

The CDV-750-5b Dosimeter Charger is a self contained
battery-operated instrument. It will charge to zero any self-reading dosimeter which has a
standard military or O.C.D.M. charging end. Specifically designed for use with MILITARY
O.C.D.M. and CITIZENS Dosimeters. Contained in a two-part metal case which measures 4" x 4" x 2". The charging contact has a screw-on cover which is permanently attached to the case. Includes 1 charger and 2 Dosimeters.

The CDV-742 Radiological Dosimeters are electrostatic devices used for measuring an
accumulated dose (over a period of time) of radiation. The civil defense dosimeters are a standard dosimeter design. This same type of dosimeter would be used anywhere people would have to measure their accumulated radiation dose. The electrostatic type of dosimeter is charged with a dosimeter charger (pictured above). This charger, charges the inner chamber of the dosimeter tube with a high voltage charge which zeros the dosimeters hair like crystal in the viewing scale. When ionizing gamma radiation passes through the dosimeter it discharges it causing the hair like crystal to move up scale resulting in a reading of the accumulated dose recieved by the dosimeter.
